HOMELESSNESS IN MIDDLESBROUGH: WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?

With the weather turning ever colder it’s not a pleasant time to be living on the streets.

But is you are homeless in Middlesbrough where can you turn to for help?

In 2018, the total number of people rough sleeping was estimated to be 4,677 in England alone.

Out of these people 14% of them were women and 6% were under the age of 25.

The Salvation Army has been helping homeless people for over 150 years.

This year they continue to provide a listening ear, a place to keep warm and loving smile.

Tuxtra reporter Emma Morton visited Middlesbrough’s Salvation Army to find out what it is doing to help the town’s homeless people this winter.
