MIDDLESBROUGH FOOTBALLERS GIVE CHILDREN CONFIDENCE BOOST

Children on Teesside with Cerebral Palsy have been meeting their sporting heroes. The MFC Foundation run Borobility sessions which encourage children with disabilities to participate in sport.

There are 30,000 children with Cerebral Palsy in the UK, one in three are unable to walk. The MFC Foundation does not want this to limit their chance to play football.

“It’s given them loads of opportunities they would not usually have.”

Jayne’s son Isaac attends the sessions and she said they have given her son increased confidence and have helped develop his mobility.

The MFC Foundation was founded in 1995 and was one of the first ever football club charities.

Its main aims are:

“To be inspirational in the community”

“Raise aspirations and improve the lives of people on Teesside.

These core values are shown through Borobility.
