Having already emerged victorious in the Para-triathlon earlier in the games, Jones-Hall has now won two medals in two different sports at the Gold Coast, Australia.

Team England have since named Jade as their flagbearer for the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony today.

“All my training was focused towards the triathlon, so anything today was a bonus really,” Jade told BBC Sport after the race.

“To come away with bronze, in such a strong field as well, I’m really happy with that.”

The 22 year-old Teessider finished the race 20 seconds behind gold medal winner Madison de Rozario of Australia.

Another Australian, Eliza Ault-Connell, claimed silver just 13 seconds behind the winning time of 1 hour 44 minutes.
