WORLD CLASS COMPETITION RETURNING TO TEESSIDE

Tees Valley selected as a venue for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup.

Teesside and the Riverside Stadium have been chosen to host the Rugby League World Cup in 2021.

This means the Riverside Stadium will host its first world competition match since the 1966 football World Cup.

It is one of 20 venues to be selected.

Yet the Tees Valley has been without a professional Rugby League club since the early 2000’s.

So what does this all mean for Teesside?
