Why Film and Media at Teesside?
We have two exciting production routes for students wanting a career in the media industry:
BA(Hons) Broadcast Media Production
In a multi-platform, frenetic media environment, employers require adaptive, highly skilled graduates with insight and imagination. Broadcast media production at Teesside equips you with skills in TV, audio, radio, film broadcast and interactive media.
This course gives you the opportunity to develop skills within a variety of disciplines and access to many different career opportunities.
You are taught by staff with impressive track records in the broadcast and new media sectors, using industry-standard equipment. If you want a creative, forward-facing job in the media industry, this is the course for you. You explore the media production business, and develop skills in critically analysing both professional products and your own production work.
BA (Hons) Film & Television Production
Delivered by experienced practitioners across all sectors of the industry, the BA (Hons) Film and Television Production degree at Teesside addresses the essential practical, professional and academic skills needed to work in film and television.
You develop your understanding of current and historical practice alongside your practical and artistic skills in a course which is very much about learning through making. Through interrogating existing work, you develop your personal voice.
Study this course and you may be eligible for a £2,500 scholarship.

Summer University – Short Online Courses
Our Summer University short online courses are ideal if you wish to learn more about a new subject.
Taught and assessed by university tutors, Summer University can help you prepare for your degree programme in September by developing your knowledge and skills in a relevant subject. You also gain valuable experience of university style teaching and assessment.
Summer University short courses are delivered online over 4-6 weeks in July / August 2020
They are free if you go on to enrol on a degree course at Teesside University
