HOW AN ARMY HELPS A COMMUNITY

A lot of people, up and down the country, often think that the Army is only used for fighting in war.

However, Major Bruce Spencer of 162 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps says it’s “so much more than that.”

The support to society and veterans organisations extends well beyond what most people would regard as a ‘war-fighting organisation’.

Here, Major Bruce and Wing Commander Philip Giles O.B.E speak about the work that ‘everyday’ people do to make the Army what it is and why the reward that everyone, including themselves, get for it, often goes unnoticed.
