Employment, Work Experience & Volunteering
Hobgoblin 3D, Character Art Intern (Summer 2019) – 8 week paid internship from June 3rd working with Hobgoblin3d; a 3d Tabletop Printable design company. I lead a character art project over the duration of the internship, primarily working in ZBrush to sculpt models for 3d printing.
Teesside University, Student Researcher (2018)- I was tasked to collect data, perform interviews and write an academic article with the project lead. This particular project focused on ‘Cultural Heritage and Game Narrative’ which I believe is heavily important to discuss within the games industry. This experience boosted my interpersonal, research and independent skills.
SFASX, Character Art Winner (2020) – I came first in Grads in Games annual Character Art competition; a competition held for students across the UK. You can view the details here.
Journeyman, Lead Character Artist (2019)- I acted as Lead Character Artist for my University’s second year group project: Journeyman, managing a team of 20 artists.
VR Visualisation Group (2018)- I helped run a student assisted project (volunteered) which worked together to create a VR experience of an archaeological reconstruction of Andean sites. We were able to present this project at the University of Berkeley, CA (in San Francisco) thanks to University funding.
Art is an enjoyed hobby outside of my studies and I’m often found delving into fantasy worlds through D&D and gaming; finding inspiration here for various concepts and paintings.
