How an amateur football team survived COVID
One of the areas that has been affected massively this year due to the global pandemic has been amateur football
Read moreEver since i was a young girl, i’ve always loved my sports. I always dreamed as a career in football, coming through Middlesbrough Centre of Excellence, i was told if i was consistent enough i could of have trials for England Womens Football, seeing all the other girls give up their social life and nice food to persue a career in football i slowly realised the professional side of it wasn’t for me. When i left the academy i played for various football teams, where i now currently play for Pools Youth ladies. Every year i watch the football transfer deadline day and thats when i realised that one day i would love to be the one reporting on SkySports on deadline day. I’ve come onto this course with 0 knowledge of sports journalism, so i am really looking forward to getting to know the ins and outs of a journalist and start my career, hopefully one day you’ll see me on sky sports. You have to dream big to achieve big.
Work Experience
i have no work experience going onto this course, i have had numerous jobs in the past most recently being a taxi driver.
Interests:
I have a huge interest in most sports but especially football. I have played football since i was 5 years old, scoring a hattrick in a cup final against an unbeaten team has to be my most precious footballing memory. I am an avid Leeds United fan and i like to travel to as many games as i can get to, being a Leeds fan i follow a journalist on Twitter called Phil Hay and i aspire to be as good as a journalist as him. As well as sports i love music and one day i hope to travel Europe.
