Student Union elections are due to start at Teesside University and it’s time for the students to have their say.
The polls open at 10am tomorrow (2nd March) and close at 4pm on Thursday 5th March. By Friday, we will have a new President for International Students and a separate President for Home Students. Both jobs are full-time, beginning from the 1st July 2026, and they come with an annual salary of £25,000.
The current student officers are Sai Dorapally (President Education), Ganesh Poshala (President International), and Clinton Aideloje (President Wellbeing).
While in previous years there have been three available roles, this year sees a change, with President Education and President Wellbeing both scrapped, and President for Home Students is introduced.
There are around 16-17 candidates for the role of President for International Students, with just two candidates gunning for the role of President for Home Students.

You can vote through the Teesside University Student Union website. The results will be revealed on Friday 6th March, with an elections result party taking place at 6pm in the Terrace on the 1st floor of the SU building.
